Pengenalan Kepada ForensikNet

Forensik.Net is a
virtual hub which provides research, education, training, tools and
technology through quality processes and creative methods to meet the
current and future needs of forensic medicine, science and law
enforcement communities in Malaysia. Being a part of the Forensic Centre,
Malaysia, Forensik.Net leads in the provision of proactive and
innovative solutions to challenges facing the forensic science and
criminal justice communities.
Forensik.Net is a joint
project between MAAMIIT, the Attorney General’s department and Polis
DiRaja Malaysia, funded through the Home Ministry and partly through
DAGS.
Forensik.Net will
collaborate closely with Polis DiRaja Malaysia in the formation of a
forensic medicine and science centre which will also double up as a
virtual call centre to provide services and examines evidence for
Federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies. Examiners will also
provide expert witness testimony in court regarding the results of the
forensic examinations.
Forensik.Net will also
be the impetus in the establishment of a virtual Malaysian Institute of
Forensic Medicine & Science, with its primary role in providing
continuous "medico-legal education services" which include
training and human resource enhancement.
Through Forensik.Net
laboratory and virtual communications network, it will provide the
platform for successful investigation and prosecution of crimes. The
basis of this platform is important as investigation of crimes requires,
in most cases, the collection, preservation, and scientific analysis of
evidence. Scientific analysis of evidence is often crucial to the
determination of guilt or innocence.
The main focus of the proposed project is to develop a Forensic
E-Community that basically made up of qualified forensic experts,
pathologists and the law enforcing communities. More than an
informational portal and virtual service hub, Forensik.Net®
is a cost effective platform which will in the medium and long term
provide the following services:
|
Continuous
Forensic Medico-Legal Education Services
An online communication and on-going training portal for law
enforcing authorities hosting critical guidelines such as
evidence handling and submission, forensic document examination
and forensic science communication.
Multimedia
Forensic Service Hub
Establish a multimedia based laboratory hub (lab hub) where
forensic experts and pathologists can communicate with law
enforcing personnel at the scene of crime on forensic
evaluation, safety, evidence submission and evidence
examination.
Pathology
& Forensic Database
This extranet database server is an archive of related forensic
and pathological information (text, images, audio and video)
which can be extracted with a fee by members of the respective
law enforcing communities and other speciality groups (such as clinical
specialists [cardiologists, dermatologists, anthropology
odontologists, forensic psychiatrists etc] and other investigating
authorities i.e. [Department of Civil Aviation, TNB, KTM
etc]).
